Raul Alejandro Ruiz Ruiz Ocasio was born on the 10th of January 1993, is a Puerto Rican singer/songwriter. He is referred to as the "King of Modern Reggaeton",[2][3he is part of "the new generation" of Puerto Rican urban musicians. His debut studio album, Afrodisiaco, was released in November of 2020. Vice Versa was his second studio album. The album's lead track, "Todo de Ti" was released in June 2021. From twelve nominations, he has been awarded two Latin Grammy Awards. Raul Alejandro Ruiz is a Latin Grammy Award winner, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on January 10, 1993. He also grew up in Canovanas, and Carolina. [4][5] His father Raul Ocasio Ruiz was a musician and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz was his back-up vocalist. He was introduced to music by Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. 6 Alejandro was a part of his father's household for many years in the United States, mostly New York City and Miami where his music was influenced by R&B and the dancehall genres. Alejandro and Anuel an ally, a friend of a fellow Puerto Rican rapper, were close friends from childhood. They both attended the same school and took part in classes. When they were children, Alejandro competed in school talent shows as he had a passion for dancing. After finishing high school, Alejandro enrolled at University of Puerto Rico. From the age at which he was six until the age of twenty playing soccer, he was a player, however, he resigned because he "could not perform the way he was expected to" and suffered an injury when he was 20. He relocated to Orlando, Florida to attempt to be scouted for a spot in the Premier Development League (PDL) but was ultimately not successful. Rauw Alejandro is famous for his Latin R&B, Latin Reggaeton and rhythmic pop. Billboard declared that this style has made him distinguish himself from a growing number of pop-leaning reggaetoneros. [23] He was influenced early on by Presley and Jackson and later, Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee, as well as Chris Brown. He also mentions Ciara as a major influence on his music.
