Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah works as an Indian performer, actress and musician. The majority of her work comes focused on Tamil or Malayalam films. She first made an appearance as an actor with the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut with Annayum raolum. Andrea Jeremiah has an Anglo-Indian origin. She was born to a Madras High Court attorney. She has one younger sister who is a resident of Leuven Belgium as a research assistant. Jeremiah lived close to Chennai, was a student at National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea, who began classes in classical piano when she was eight, has been classified as being a "geek" and wanted to become a psychiatrist until her board exam in 12th grade. Young Stars was the Jackson Five-style group that Andrea joined after turning 10-years-old. This led to her first professional singing experience and her early musical composition. She also worked as an actor in the college. Andrea was also one of the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea began the acting profession as a child performer acting in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. She was a part of Shiva in a Leo coffee ad in 2006. Also, she was a part of an episode that was retransmitted on Podhigai channel. She has appeared in various shows throughout India. There was a brief appearance in the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). When she sang a tune in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu the director asked her to join as one of the lead female characters in his upcoming project Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea plays Kalyani who is married and mother of a man with an affair. Andrea was chosen for the part after actors Simran Shabana as well as Tabu were invited to audition for the film. The film was released at the start of 2010. It was released in the month of August, 2011. Venkat Prabhu made his debut with the multi-starrer Mankatha. She was asked to play a minor support role. Annayum Rasoolum was Rajeev's romantic film in 2013.
