Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born on April 16 1996, in Miami Florida. She is half English, the other half Spanish. Her parents were Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. The father of her mother, who is native of Argentina with Scottish as well as English descendant is her mother. Her mother has Spanish as well as English heritage. Taylor-Joy, who is youngest of five children, four come from her father's previous marriage. After having lived with her parents in Buenos Aires for six years and then moving to Victoria. Taylor-Joy explained the relocation was traumatic, and refused to study English because she hoped to go back to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she needed to go to following her departure from Northlands. Then she attended Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes and participated in drama productions. She quit the high school aged 16 to focus on her acting profession. From a young age Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to become an actress and her goals were realized after she was offered the opportunity to model Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
